GBCM Students meet the Deputy Commissioner of the Irish National Police force

Mr Nacie Rice, Deputy Commissioner of the Irish police force, recently addressed the students and faculty of the Globe Business College Munich. The deputy commissioner spoke about the application of management theories to the public sector. In his address he showed how the Irish police force has employed management theories in the development of their strategic plan and organizational culture. The talk was both informative and extremely interesting, as it brought home to the audience the fact that academic business theories are equally applicable to both the private and public sectors.

The talk was followed by a tour of the Irish police headquaters, the highlight of which was the visit to the arms dump which is home to a large supply of various types of confiscated weapons.
