News > GBCM meets Hollywood ...Halloween 2009 GBCM meets Hollywood ...Halloween 2009 31st Oct 2009 GBCM students spent Halloween mingling with Hollywood stars at the annual Ovidiu Rom Charity Ball in Bucharest, Romania. Despite the financial crisis, there was an incredible turnout with over 600 guests in attendance. The proceeds of the ball will go to support the ‘Every Child in School’ programme, the aim of which is to eradicate illiteracy and school abandonment in Romania. The keynote speaker, American Ambassador to Romania Mark Gittenstein, and guest of honor, Ethan Hawke, both made compelling speeches on the need to ensure that education is available to all children in Europe, a position which GBCM wholeheartedly supports.
