News > Ovidiu Rom Halloween Charity Ball Ovidiu Rom Halloween Charity Ball 31th Oct 2009 This academic year, the students, faculty and administration of the Globe Business College will advance their ongoing efforts to support the charity Ovidiu Rom in Bucharest, Romania. GBCM supports the Ovidiu Rom programme “Every Child in School”, the goal of which is to eradicate illiteracy and school abandonment in Romania by the year 2020. In addition to a Christmas fundraiser last year which raised €1500 to support a summer school programme for at-risk children, GBCM also supports the annual Halloween Charity Ball, to which all faculty members and students are invited. This year’s ball will take place on October 31st in the People’s Palace in Bucharest. As the charity was founded by Leslie Hawke (mother of American actor Ethan Hawke), Ethan Hawke will be the special guest at this year’s event.
