Industrial Visits > Industrial Trip to Düsseldorf Industrial Trip to Düsseldorf 28th February - 1st March, 2008 The industrial visit to Düsseldorf, which took place from the 28th of February to the 1st of March, was a great success for both the students and faculty in attendance. All agreed that the highlight of the visit was a tour of the Zamek Nahrungsmittel company. The firm (which has been in operation since 1932) produces high quality canned food such as soups, sauces, and stews as well as pre-cooked meals, deserts, food for diabetics, sports nutrition and wellness products. In addition to tasting a variety of these products, the group was treated to an extensive tour of the production facilities. Following the tour, a visit to the old town district of Düsseldorf made for a nice change of pace. The trip was rounded off with dinner on Friday evening at the Eigelstein Restaurant with the party travelling home on Saturday morning.
